Master Class with David Lee Strasberg
About David Lee Strasberg
David Lee Strasberg, Artistic Director and CEO of The Lee Strasberg Institute, carries forward one of the most influential legacies in modern acting. The son of Lee Strasberg, legendary teacher and originator of The Method Acting, David grew up inside the Actors Studio in New York, surrounded by some of the most iconic performers of our time.
Since 1999, he has led The Lee Strasberg Institutes in New York and West Hollywood, producing plays and short films, developing curriculum, and mentoring emerging artists. David teaches regularly at both campuses and travels internationally to share and evolve the Method for a new generation.
With academic training from Brown University and UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, David blends artistic expertise with visionary leadership. Under his direction, the Institute continues to nurture actors, writers, directors, and creators who seek a deeper, more personal connection to their craft.
Today, David remains a dedicated custodian of his father’s work while reinterpreting the Method for contemporary artists, helping students ignite their own creative impulses and discover a truthful, fully lived experience in performance.
On February 23, David will hold a special acting workshop at Scripps Ranch Theatre, working one-on-one with actors. Enrollment is limited to 16 participants.
